Afterimage in Rose began with remembered objects but keeps none of their function. Five cobalt forms appear at different scales, their irregular silhouettes held by saffron halos and repeated green interruptions.
The rose ground is made from many transparent layers rather than one solid color. A narrow dark base gives the floating shapes just enough gravity to occupy the canvas.
